In honour of World Cancer Day, Ticketmaster is stepping up its commitment to the cause. From February 5 to March 9, Ticketmaster teams around the world are taking on a virtual challenge, covering 2024 miles – the distance from our office in Bangkok to the top of Everest. Teams will be logging their steps through fitness apps, devices, or manually, with all efforts contributing to fundraising for local cancer charities – the UK team is supporting Cancer Research UK.

Over 500 employees from 30 offices globally are joining forces to collectively walk, jog, or run the 2024 miles. It’s a powerful display of unity in the fight against cancer.

Last year marked a significant milestone for Ticketmaster, as we proudly reached the £1.5 million mark in our ongoing commitment to Cancer Research UK. These funds have helped Cancer Research UK continue their work with researchers, doctors and nurses. Their work has helped prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, and with each day they are getting closer to their goal of seeing 3 in 4 people with cancer survive for 10 years or more by 2034.

Andrew Parsons, Managing Director of Ticketmaster UK said: “Cancer has likely touched all of us at some stage — whether it’s a family member we know who’s had cancer, a friend or even a colleague. Over the years, the team have strived to help play a small part in making this disease a thing of the past. By raising over £1.5 million through fundraising and taking on challenges like this, it stands as a testament to the significant impact we can achieve when we unite for a common cause. Best of luck to all the team!”
