Ticketmaster is proud to sponsor the Live Performance Award at the 2022 Youth Music Awards, in association with Hal Leonard Europe. The awards represent a more diverse, inclusive, and more creative industry by platforming young people facing the biggest barriers to accessing music. The awards are an exclusive glimpse into the future of the industry and aim to amplify the voices, views and sounds of the next generation. The Youth Music Awards 2022 take place on Wednesday 19th of October at Troxy, London.

Ticketmaster’s live award champions outstanding live performances by an artist or group from a Youth Music funded project. This years nominees include:

Megan Black – Freedom Belongs to Him Scottish ‘Hippy-Dippy Drag Queen’ making waves with her newly released album ‘Deadly is The Women’ in April this year, creating a powerful sonic bridge between her 70s influenced sound and contemporary views on feminism and the LGBTQ+ community.

The Spit Game – Various A collective of young creatives representing young Black London cultures.  They elevate the voice and power of young black talent by featuring exciting rising creatives across disciplines: from rappers, singers, producers, videographers, Dj’s to designers. The project began in October 2021, and has been growing to reaching million sof views and engagement since.

Pennyblue – How Long  English musical duo Sam and Niamh are folk influenced singer-songwriters who impressed with ‘How Long’. With sensitive and thought-provoking lyrics, their performance reflects on tough times and the hope to move onto brighter, better days.

The winner will be announced live at the Youth Music awards on Wednesday the 19th of October.
