New year, new team name! The Sales team (as most of you know it) are now known as Client Development.

They are a friendly bunch so many may know them already, but here are some fun facts so you can get to know them even better….

Libby Urvois – Client Development Manager

What was the first live event you went to?  My first live event (that I can remember) was Lindisfarne at Newcastle City Halls. I think I was about 8 years old.

What is your funniest work moment to date? One of my funny moments in the office was when we had a competition to see who could squeeze themselves into a really small space and I won!! It became a running joke to challenge me to do it each time a delivery came in a large box or container…

Do you have any Ticketmaster product tips? I love how easy it is to take card payments onsite using the TicketWeb check-in app and Square Reader.

Gary Roden – SVP Client Development & Commercial

What was the first live event you went to?  Sooty and Sweep Show – They put him in a tumble dryer, terrifying!

What is your funniest work moment to date?  Watching Lee Evans from the Wings at the Edinburgh Playhouse

Do you have any Ticketmaster product tips? I think clients should embrace the potential of our dynamic pricing tool “Pricemaster”, the results from the first clients using this product when launched in late 2019 have been incredible

Avinash Beerjeraz – Client Development Manager – Events, Attractions & Sport

What was the first live event you went to? My first gig was at the Islington Academy to see Bullet for my Valentine in 2010. Its was a free show curated by Myspace – The good old days!!!

What is your funniest work moment to date?
In my previous Job as an events manager, Elton John made an appearance at a show where he hopped out of his helicopter to perform 1 song and hopped back on it after – Rockstar moment!

Do you have any Ticketmaster product tips? TM1 – It is easy and intuitive to use to find out about my client’s ticket sales.

Gillian Henderson – Senior Client Development Director – Scotland & Venues

What was the first live event you went to?  Oasis +  Travis – December 7th 1997 – SEC Hall 4. Bonehead got hit by a bottle of vodka and they cancelled the gig and I cried for two days as I had saved up my paper round money and only saw 3 songs…

What is your funniest work moment to date? The day I fell on stage in front of 2500 people in a rush to tell the DJ Whitney Houston had died.. 

Do you have any Ticketmaster product tips? Ancillary products such as Collector Ticket, Upsells and Hotels are great additions for customers to purchase while increasing revenue before the show has even begun.

Ged Skelding – Client Development Manager – Music

What was the first live event you went to? First live music event was Ash at Power in The Park (Southampton) 2001

What is your funniest work moment to date?  There’s certainly been a few! Without wanting to highlight specific events I’ll go with Bonita introducing me to a potential new client, they misheard my name – Called me Ged Skelgog. Bonita now continues to call me this!
