Ticketmaster Request empowers fans to place their order for tickets as soon as shows are announced. The simple fan journey gives fans a more flexible way to secure tickets to their favourite artists and provides promoters immediate insight into the nature of demand for a single show or multiple dates.

Ticketmaster Request has enjoyed great success in North America over the last two years, where it has been used by artists such as Madonna, Paramore and Pearl Jam. Four Tet’s campaign represents the first time the high demand onsale mechanic has been used in the UK.

The tool is perfect for any show where demand will outstrip supply, which is why promoter Eat Your Own Ears partnered with us to activate Ticketmaster Request for their 2 Four Tet shows at Alexandra Palace.

Due to the history of high demand for Four Tet shows, the Eat Your Own Ears team were keen to use Ticketmaster’s new registration tool, Ticketmaster Request. This allowed them to capture demand for shows and convert it instantly into sales.

At announcement, fans were directed to a branded Ticketmaster Request landing page where fans registered their preferred date and the number of tickets for each show along with payment details.

By tracking request numbers from announcement, the Eat Your Own Ears team were able to see that demand for Four Tet exceeded the capacity of the 2 shows initially announced and went on to announce a 3rd date with confidence. Thousands of fans also opted-in to receive details about future Four Tet shows providing valuable data to inform the strategy of future tours.

“We’re always looking out for new ideas to make the lives of fans easier and ‘Ticketmaster Request’ fits that bill while also giving us a level of insight we’ve never had before – demand data that actually led us to announce a third Four Tet show at Alexandra Palace. It was simple to use and the TIcketmaster team very responsive and reactive. I guess ultimately proof it worked was that we very quickly and smoothly achieved two sold out shows, so its definitely something we won’t hesitate to implement again,”
