Ticketmaster International rolls out New For 2020

Ticketmaster International launched its flagship new music campaign with the release of New For 2020.

Highlighting new musical talent from all over the world, New For 2020 was co-ordinated internationally but featured a unique list of emerging acts to watch out for in the new year, curated locally by the Music, Marketing and Artist Services teams at Ticketmaster Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and the United Kingdom.

Ticketmaster New For 2020 is an integral part of the ongoing Ticketmaster New Music strategy and brand.

Ticketmaster New Music is a carefully curated selection, showcasing artists we are expecting to make waves in the live music scene. Working closely with record labels, live event promoters and talent agents, our in-house experts handpick the most exciting emerging music.

Ticketmaster UK’s list of acts sees the 3rd consecutive year where the company has sought to highlight the best new music through its New For campaign.  Previous years have seen inclusion of artists that have since become household names, including Lew Capaldi, Slowthai and Sigrid.

Working with Ticketmaster’s promoter, talent agent, artist management and record label contacts, New for 2020 identifies the 10 hottest new acts expected to succeed in the live music business in the next 12 months.

Ticketmaster UK’s New For 2020 ultimately includes Manchester rapper Aitch, rising Londoner Arlo Parks, bedroom-pop star beabadoobee, futuristic music maker Bree Runway, BBC Sound Poll winner Celeste, New Jersey-born singer & songwriter FLETCHER, Irish rockers Inhaler, virtuoso US artist Scarypoolparty and West Lothian indie darlings The Snuts.

Launched on Monday 11th November, Ticketmaster New For 2020 was unveiled via Discover.Ticketmaster’s brand new hub pages, which help drive improved SEO.

The campaign was built in the week’s leading up to the reveal, with dedicated assets produced by International Artist Services.  A dedicated Press Release was shared with UK music and industry media prior to the announcement; UK Music Week subsequently lead with a Monday morning announcement with further coverage coming from IQ Magazine and M Magazine.

International Artist Services also engaged each artist’s management, label and publicity team to ensure that the included acts shared the news that they were tipped by Ticketmaster.  Every artist shared the story with Ticketmaster’s imagery and links to their social media following, ultimately helping to drive over 30,000 page views for the campaign at launch.

Following the UK announcement, New For 2020 campaigns sprung up in multiple territories, championing new local talent and cementing Ticketmaster’s standing as a trusted editorial voice to music fans around the globe.
