Ticketmaster run marketing campaigns throughout the year based on genre, lifestyle and interest to maximise ticket sales for a multitude of events in line with sales trends, product availability and fan behaviour.

These campaigns enhance the fan experience with discovery pages and often great ticket prices, whilst increasing reach and ticket sales for events and clients.

With summer fast approaching, the West End campaign was set up to drive advance sales to theatre performances in May through to September to supplement the anticipated short fall of international tourism in London this summer.

Ticketmaster worked with producers, marketing agencies and venue group clients to confirm special rates including ‘no fees’, discounts and exclusive ticket prices on over 40 theatre shows including Magic Mike Live, MAMMA MIA!, Wicked, Disney’s The Lion King, making this the biggest West End campaign of all time at Ticketmaster.

The campaign’s overarching tagline was No Fees. Best Prices. Just The Ticket. to communicate simply that the fan could buy a ticket to their favourite West End show with no fees at a competitive rate.

Events featured in the West End campaign benefitted from extensive multi-platform marketing activity across Ticketmaster’s digital channels, affiliate networks, programmatic ad networks plus an out of home campaign on the tube and rail network which altogether reached over 45 million fans.

The campaign boosted West End theatre ticket sales for the 2022 summer season with 81% of sales from the month falling in to May, June, July and August performances.
