Yesterday’s O2 Silver Clef Awards brought the music industry together in a shared belief; that music has the power to connect, heal and transform lives. The event, now in its 49th year, raised over £715,000 for Nordoff and Robbins, the UK’s largest music therapy charity, whose work continues to touch thousands of lives across the country.

Held for the first time as an evening gala, the awards brought together artists, industry peers, and supporters to celebrate music’s ability to heal, connect and empower. From legends like David Gilmour and The Corrs to exciting new voices such as The Last Dinner Party, the night honoured a wide spectrum of talent, while keeping the focus firmly on the work Nordoff and Robbins does day in, day out.

At Ticketmaster, we were pleased to continue our support by sponsoring the Best New Music Award, presented this year to The Last Dinner Party, whose rise has captured the attention of audiences and critics alike.

Over the years, we’ve supported a number of Nordoff and Robbins initiatives; including Music Mudder, the Northern Music Awards, and other events that raise awareness and funding for their vital music therapy programmes.

And now, we’re making it even easier for others to get involved. Through Universe, a Ticketmaster platform, anyone raising money for Nordoff and Robbins can access exclusive discounted fees. Whether you’re planning a concert, community fundraiser, auction or gala, Universe gives you the tools to sell tickets, collect donations, track sales and check in guests – all in one simple platform. It means more of what’s raised can go directly to the charity’s work, helping music reach the people who need it most. You can get started at universe.com/sign-up.

What stands out most about Nordoff and Robbins is the individual stories, like that of three-year-old Poppy, who lives with Rett Syndrome. Through music therapy, she’s found new ways to connect with the world around her, offering moments of joy, expression and connection that words alone couldn’t provide. Stories like Poppy’s are why we continue to support the charity and why nights like the O2 Silver Clef Awards matter.
