Utilita Arena Sheffield Venue App

Our Ignite platform is designed to power the full end-to-end live event experience for venues and fans, from ticket purchase and entry through to in-venue engagement. The platform enables venues either to use a dedicated app designed and developed by Ticketmaster with the venue’s branding, or alternatively plug in white label elements to a venue-developed app.

The platform is now live at Utilita Arena Sheffield, with Vaillant Live Derby set to launch in the coming weeks, both of which are operated by Legends Global.

Dom Stokes, General Manager at Utilita Arena Sheffield, said: “Managing entry, security and fan communications across multiple systems creates unnecessary complexity on event days. With The Ignite Venue App, we now have a single, integrated platform that simplifies operations and improves reliability at scale.”

Marcus Sheehan, General Manager at Vaillant Live Derby, said Ignite enables“a fully integrated digital journey without the overheads of building and maintaining our own app”.

Catrin White, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Legends Global Europe, said upon the launch: “In live entertainment, the fan experience is paramount in everything that we do, and that experience starts from the moment a ticket is purchased.”

“Teaming up with Ticketmaster’s Ignite will further enhance the fan’s experience, making it more seamless than ever. By harnessing Ignite, we now have a single, integrated platform that simplifies operations and improves reliability at scale.”

There are many more partner venues not owned or operated by Legends Global that will also come on board soon, beyond the current pair of Legends destinations.

Fans can purchase and access tickets, navigate the venue, receive real-time updates, and use features such as in-app messaging, upgrades, and food ordering.

For venues, the platform removes the need to build and maintain standalone apps, while also providing enhanced data insights into attendance and in-venue fan behaviour. This enables operators to better understand how events perform beyond ticket sales and optimise both operations and fan experience.

The platform is already in use across other markets including Australia, South Africa, and the United States.

Ticketmaster UK Managing Director Sarah Slater said: “Ticketing has long moved on from being a single transaction – it’s now a continuous cycle, from understanding demand before a show is announced through to how fans engage on the day and beyond.

Ignite connects that journey. Venues can now see who attended, how they experienced the event and what they engaged with – so they can make better decisions that will improve the fan experience.”
