Ticketmaster UK has announced an exclusive ticketing partnership with Van Gogh Alive ‘the world’s most visited immersive, multi-sensory experience’, which exhibits the life and work of the legendary Dutch artist.
Having already welcomed over seven million visitors in 65 cities around the world, the London event will be held in a spectacular 25,000ft2 purpose-built temporary structure on the East Albert Lawns of Kensington Gardens. Running from 4 June to 26 September, it will mark the first event to be held at this iconic location since 2016.
Covid-safe
The recent sell-out run in Sydney, Australia was produced in a Covid-safe environment, and the Van Gogh Alive experience in London will follow suit with a Covid-safe and family friendly experience that aims to exceed Government public health guidelines.
Controlled visitor capacities and managed visitor flow means that visitors can easily respect government social-distancing guidelines and enjoy the experience safely. Tickets are being sold in timeslots on Ticketmaster with entry times at half hour intervals throughout each day.
Features of Van Gogh Alive
Van Gogh Alive will feature over 3000 images from the artist’s work set to an evocative classical score, delivered using state-of-the-art SENSORY4™ immersive gallery technology which combines multi-channel motion graphics, up to forty high-definition projectors and cinema quality surround sound.
There will also be an interpretive area where visitors can learn more about Van Gogh’s life and works, interactive art stations to ‘create your own’ art with the help of expert video tutorials, a life-sized walk-in representation of Van Gogh’s ‘Bedroom in Arles’ painting, and the iconic ‘Sunflower selfie room’ – a 360° mirrored room complete with hundreds of sunflowers.
At the end of the experience there will be a gift shop with premium Van Gogh themed merchandise, and an on-site café named “Café Provençale” where visitors can purchase food and drink.
