Everywhere At Once

Nationwide Grassroots Music festival, powered by The National Lottery and delivered by Music Venue Trust alongside Save Our Scene and the Association of Independent Promoters, brought more than 2,000 artists to over 400 venues in a single weekend.

‘Everywhere At Once’, the nationwide Grassroots Music festival, has raised £100,000 for four leading music and youth charities following its inaugural edition in June, with War Child, Help Musicians, Teenage Cancer Trust and Nordoff and Robbins all receiving £25,000.

Powered by The National Lottery, Everywhere At Once was delivered by Music Venue Trust alongside Save Our Scene and the Association of Independent Promoters, bringing the grassroots network together for a shared national moment of live music. The initiative set out to celebrate the vital role of Grassroots Music Venues in the UK’s live music ecosystem, connect audiences with live music in their local communities, and demonstrate the collective strength of the sector. It also aimed to turn that national celebration into tangible support for four charities working with musicians, young people and communities facing significant challenges.

More than 400 grassroots music venues took part, hosting over 1,000 events and bringing more than 2,000 artists to stages in towns and cities across the country. Established acts, emerging talent, independent promoters and local music communities came together for a nationwide celebration of live music, highlighting the importance of independent venues as places where artists develop their careers, audiences discover new music and communities come together.

Becky Hill, Rizzle Kicks and Fatboy Slim were among the established artists who returned to venues with a personal connection to their careers, while thousands of emerging artists created special shows and events of their own. The festival gave audiences the opportunity to discover new music close to home, while shining a spotlight on the independent venues that provide essential stages for artists at every point in their careers.

The festival’s fundraising success means that £100,000 will now support four charities whose work spans music, health and youth welfare. War Child supports children affected by conflict, Help Musicians provides practical and financial support to musicians, Teenage Cancer Trust supports young people with cancer, and Nordoff and Robbins uses music therapy to help people facing life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation.

The £100,000 was raised through public donations, contributions from participating venues, promoters and artists, alongside a major donation from Everywhere At Once ticketing partner Ticketmaster.

We’re incredibly proud to support Everywhere At Once. We’ve worked with War Child, Help Musicians, Teenage Cancer Trust and Nordoff and Robbins over the years, so we know first-hand the extraordinary difference each of them makes. To see the Grassroots Music community come together across the country and raise £100,000 for such vital causes is a powerful reminder of what live music can achieve when the whole sector pulls together. – Sarah Slater, Managing Director, Ticketmaster UK

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who brought the Everywhere at Once festival to life, giving their time, talent and passion so generously. The funds raised will help us provide music therapy to people across the UK, including some of the most vulnerable in our society, unlocking creativity and fostering meaningful opportunities for connection.” – Sandy Trappitt, Director of Fundraising, Nordoff and Robbins

“The money raised by this amazing festival will help fund our specialist nurses and youth workers who support young people facing cancer through the toughest times of their lives. We’d like to thank everyone involved in this incredible celebration of Grassroots Venues, which mean so much to local communities, performers and fans.” – Jeremy Scott, Co-Director of Engagement at Teenage Cancer Trust

“Right now, 1 in 5 children around the world are affected by conflict. That’s 520 million children exposed to the violence of war; taken out of education, away from their families and safe spaces, and in vital need of protection, specialist mental health support, and immediate aid. Music has always had an extraordinary ability to bring people together around a common goal, and the money raised from Everywhere At Once not only foster that sense of community but make a tangible difference to the lives of children like those War Child works with. We are very grateful to all the artists, Grassroots Music Venues, Music Venue Trust and all involved in making these shows happen, and to everyone who bought tickets. The money raised will go a long way in helping War Child provide its vital work to the world’s most vulnerable children.” – Jim Benner, War Child

“We’re incredibly grateful to MVT for choosing Help Musicians as one of the four charities to benefit from Everywhere at Once, and to the artists, venues, promoters, audiences and Ticketmaster who helped make the festival and this fundraising possible. We see every day the challenges musicians navigate to build sustainable careers due to financial, physical and psychological health challenges. This generous donation will help us provide vital support when musicians need it most, helping more people to stay in music and thrive. It’s a brilliant example of the music community coming together to support its own” – Sarah Woods, Chief Executive, Help Musicians

“Everywhere at Once was always about people. The venues, the promoters, the artists, the fans who walked down the road to see a show in a room they love. Seeing that happen in over 400 places on the same weekend and knowing that £100,000 has gone to four charities that genuinely change lives, is something I will never forget. This is what Grassroots Music does, and this is why it matters.” -Rebecca Walker, Live Projects, MVT
