Until 2019 the festival issued paper tickets for day tickets and barcoded wristbands for weekend tickets.
Inspired by the success of the 100% digital Four Tet shows at O2 Academy Brixton, Lovebox were the first festival in the UK to go 100% digital.
MAMA Group and Ticketmaster worked together on logistical measures such as putting in additional geo-fence wi-fi at the main entrance so that guests could download their ticket when they arrived. However the pre-event messaging did the trick and most fans arrived with their tickets already downloaded.
The result was a much faster entry, and Lovebox estimate that queuing times in key periods was cut by half.
