Following the announcement of her highly anticipated new album Madame X which was available globally from June 14, Madonna, Live Nation and Maverick announced a series of rare and intimate performances, powered by Ticketmaster Verified Fan.
The London and Paris tour dates took place exclusively in theatres in January and February 2020, giving fans an opportunity to see Madonna in an environment like they never have before.
At Ticketmaster, we’re committed to getting more tickets into the hands of fans. Through our partnership with Madonna and Live Nation, we helped ensure that real fans had access to Madonna’s tour – and that touts and bots were kept away.
The Verified Fan campaign
Ticketmaster International Artist Services exclusively managed and ran the Verified Fan campaign, providing Madonna with a tour landing page for her London & Paris 2020 dates and helping ensure real fans could access the highly sought-after tickets.
Ticketmaster’s marketing was activated from announcement to drive previous bookers and high propensity customers across Europe to register via Verified Fan. This huge international campaign was activated in 11 Ticketmaster markets and included homepage spotlight ads, dedicated solus mailers, organic and paid social media, newsletter inclusions and online content.
We also worked closely with ICON (Madonna’s official fan club) and Citi® bank (the official credit card of the Madame X Tour) to create unique Verified Fan registration pages that enabled verified and eligible fans/customers to receive up to 4 tickets for a single event across the tour.
