Observed for over a century, International Women’s Day recognises the social, economic, professional, cultural and political achievements of women, while emphasising progression towards gender equality. At Ticketmaster, we are especially determined to build a gender-balanced company that supports a positive, inclusive and diverse workplace.

On Friday 8 March, Ticketmaster HQ celebrated International Women’s Day by producing an event that showcased a diverse range of perspectives from staff at all levels of the business, celebrating the international tapestry of our global business, and discovering how employees can play an active role in supporting #BalanceforBetter.

The event concluded with a Q&A and intimate performance from Ward Thomas – a duo who have been at the forefront of the ever-growing UK country scene, rising alongside the likes of The Shires and Catherine McGrath. We spoke to them about what #BalanceforBetter means to them and which women inspired them the most through their musical journey.

On Monday 11 March, Ticketmaster Artist Services partnered with Acoustic Live and Sony Music to host Acoustic Live x What If Presents: Women Connect, an evening dedicated to organically bringing together women in the creative industry. The evening was dedicated to empowering women and offering them a space to speak freely about their aspirations in the creative industry – specifically music, without judgement.
