Ticketmaster’s Senior Client Development Manager Bonita McKinney will be running a workshop on ‘The ticket of the future’ at this year’s Futures Forum at ILMC this Friday with ticketing expert Lou Champion.

The session will cover the latest insight into how fans are buying tickets, along with real life case studies and thoughts on the future.

Bonita McKinney has been nominated for the ‘Tomorrow’s New Boss’ award at this year’s Arthur Awards, which was previously won by Jo Young, now Ticketmaster’s Senior Director for International Brand and Marketing Communication.

When IQ magazine asked if there was that early intent to work in the music business, Bonita commented:

“Yes, but I thought I’d be on the stage! I was in a band pitched for “electro goth success” and toured the country for a couple of years. I’m so thankful I had that experience, as now I truly understand what it is like from the artists’ perspective and just how important grassroots venues are to the success of new acts.”

Jo Young will be part of the ‘Meet the New Bosses: Class of 2020’ panel discussing her career paths to date and the skills needed to succeed in the modern live industry.

In an interview with IQ magazine, when asked about this year’s panel Jo commented:

“I’d (also) like to build on a theme that emerged last year around how we all stay healthy and mindful, and ask them how they look after themselves in the more chaotic moments.”
