Ticketmaster is proud to continue as Official Ticketing Partner of the Heavy Music Awards event for a fifth consecutive year and again sponsor ‘The H’, an award launched last year to recognise an individual or organisation that has gone to exceptional lengths to make the rock and metal scene a more positive place.
For the first time ever, ‘The H’ Award winner will be revealed before this year’s live HMA event to give more time than ever to celebrate their tremendous journey and achievements.
This year’s winning organisation is made up of people from across the live music industry who have rallied together over the years to raise over one million pounds for charities through a chain of fundraising activities. Just one of those charities is Nordoff Robbins, a charity partner of both the HMA and Ticketmaster.
The winner of ‘The H’ Award will be revealed on Friday 20 May, so stay tuned to hear who has been chosen to receive this special award.
Winners of the remaining 11 categories, that are voted for by the public, will be announced in front of 2,400 heavy music fans at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on Sunday 5 June 2022, with live performances from Static Dress, Meet Me @ The Alter, Holding Absence and Beartooth. The ticketing for this year’s sold out HMA event will be powered by Ticketmaster’s Universe platform. Universe has provided ticketing for various industry awards, like the UK Festival Awards, and has become a key ticketing platform for gigs, festivals, exhibitions, attractions, and self-service ticketing.
