As we near the end of month four in lockdown, we take a look at some of the events getting back on track in the world of theatre, comedy, exhibitions, attractions and immersive events.
Theatre
The first West End show to re-open just happens to be the longest running; Mousetrap.
They are selling tickets from 23 October at St Martin’s Theatre with all the social distancing restrictions in place on stage, backstage and throughout the auditorium and public spaces.
Comedy
The Comedy Store have been releasing footage from their archives via virtual events during lockdown to help support their venues and artists,
They will be bringing comedians back to the stage at Utilita Live From The Drive in and have partnered with Car Park Party to curate the Car Park Comedy drive-in events across the country,
Exhibitions
Over the the world of exhibitions, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience in York is now open.
The pieces of art have been spaced according to social distancing guidelines, disposable caps will available to wear under VR headsets, and timed entry will manage the flow of visitors.
Attractions & Family Events
Finally onto days out, Thorpe Park is back in action under COVID-19 guidelines, with spaced out seating on rides, temperature checks before entry and thorough cleaning routines throughout.
Pop Up Picnic is allowing families and friends to sit in bubbles for entertainment, live music and stand-up comedy at Hill View Farm in Oxfordshire. Meanwhile Truckfest has been rescheduled to August featuring Monster Trucks and Arena Stunt Shows.
Immersive Events
Secret Cinema have been innovative right through lockdown, starting with their virtual Secret Sofa events and moving on to their new The Drive In events at Goodwood, all in partnership with Häagen-Dazs.
The events will pair the new trend of drive-ins with their immersive mix of of film, action, song and dance. Tickets are on sale on their website using our ticketing widget.
